DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC I AM OFFERING REDUCED RATES. SEE FEES PAGE FOR DETAILS.
I recently completed a training for online therapists as I believe this is the way to make therapy accessible to all. I also recognise how tough it can be for mums to carve out the time to go to therapy, between finding childcare, work and family and the logistics of managing schedules. Therapy online solves many of these roadblocks.
There has been some resistance to technology in the therapy world but the reality is the medium through which we relate to others has changed. Now we pick our dates online, we do our shopping online, we speak to our families online and we work online so it is a natural progression for therapy to be offered online. To investigate the effectiveness of online therapy, researchers completed various different studies and have found that online therapy and face to face therapy get the same results. This approach is not a second best approach but actually equal when implemented correctly.
For online therapy to maintain its privacy I ask clients to ensure they are in a private space with as few interruptions as possible. We will then speak over a platform called 'Zoom". This software is encrypted and protected from 3rd parties and complies with GDPR. 'Zoom' has apps for Apple and Android and can be accessed on a laptop also.
